The Children’s Center for Developmental Enrichment (CCDE) is a non-profit corporation founded by a group of parents whose children have autism spectrum disorders. The Children’s Center has established their board of directors, a Chief Executive Officer, and a widely recognized group of individuals to serve on their professional advisory board.
For children who do not have language and social skills to interact with others, what lies within them is locked away beyond the reach of those who love them. The child seems confused, frightened, and sometimes angry. Family members feel helpless, frustrated, and too often, hopeless. However, there is hope. Intervention can shatter the isolation and free the child held captive within.
Children with autism spectrum disorder and other related disabilities require intensive intervention to improve behavior, social skills, language, and readiness for academic learning. Often these children fail to work to their potential. The goal at The Children’s Center is for all children to develop their strengths to the fullest.
The Children’s Center is dedicated to serving children with autism spectrum disorder and other related difficulties, and their families. CCDE is unique in that it offers an inclusive, classroom based intervention model to promote independent performance for children with autism spectrum disorder. Intervention is developed and delivered according to the individual needs of the child and the unique goals of each family.
